I have been on treatment for my Graves Disease since I found out in May of this year. I have been on PTU of all different doses, and Atenolol 25mg. After about 3 months I was able to cut back on the Atenolol and then to none. I am currently pregnant at 15 weeks and found out last week that all my levels are normal. I was so amazed! Of course my Endo wants me to stay alittle hyper for the baby. Basically, I am writing this because I am one of the success stories of the antithyroid drug treatment, and hope to continue to be. There are so many people out there that are starting treatment and are wondering if the ATD are going to work. I want them to know that it can happen, in time of course. I am glad my doctors never pushed RAI treatments on me. The truth is there are alot of doctors and people that do. Okay enough...if you liver counts and everything are going good and you haven't been on ATDs for more than 6 months, than give your body a chance before you leap into the other treatments. Now I don't know how my Graves is going to act into the future but I have hope that my doctors will take care of me.

Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
