Hi - starting a new thread after my functional medicine appointment today. As StillLearning and MMZ know, the endocrinologist yesterday said my thyroid levels were now in normal range, so I have a subclinical condition and she won't treat it, she wants to wait until I show symptoms and see which way the thyroid goes. I had hope for the Functional Medicine Doctor, but after an hour and 1/2, she too reviewed my labs and said everything was normal except for the thyroid antibodies, and that indicated Hashimotos. She doesn't want to do any more tests until I pay out of pocket now for an HLA test. Apparently, even though she is a PCP and the actual appointments are covered by insurance, she wants to do labs that are not. So, she tried to sell me hundreds of dollars in labs, and when I hesitated, basically seemed to dismiss me. She said get the lab done and come back in 6 weeks. No recommendations, nothing. So I left feeling unbelievably alone, and with absolutely no direction. I have literally been dealing with this for over 6 months, non medicated, and have not been able to get any answers, and now, no one will even offer any medications, supplement advice, nothing. What do I do now? No dr will help me, unless I pay out of pocket, so I feel I wasted my time and should have just paid out of pocket to begin with, but I am also trying to manage finances and not go crazy. My money might be better spent on a DO than on HLA labs but I just don't know!
I posted some of my labs already - the most recent ones, but here they are again

I had a CBC and metabolic panel done too and those came out normal. It's the thyroid peroxidase antibodies that are way out of whack. She said it looks like Hashimotos now, but she won't do anything.
So what now? It seems no one will listen and there is nothing I can do, except wait and see.
