I know I have posted about eye disease before, but I am still struggling with red, itchy, irritated eyes! People ask me on a daily basis if I got enough sleep... even if I did, my eyes are STILL red! They never used to be like this prior to Graves. I have had Graves since I was 19 years old (I'm now 24, so it's been 5 years) and my eyes have remained stable throughout my disease. My eye doctor says that I should wait until my Graves is under control and then we can move my eyelids down, since they are so retracted and one is more retracted than the other. He said once my levels are under control, I should still probably wait a year before operating. I've had 2 RAI treatments and I'm STILL hyper, so I don't know if that's going to be happening anytime soon, but I'm taking 40 mg of Methamizole a day to really try to get my thyroid to budge downward. It's so frustrating because on top of everything, I have gained 50 lbs throughout the course of my disease and I just want to feel better! Does anyone have any advice on what I should do about my eye issues? Sorry for the rant....I'm so thankful for this forum! Thanks in advance!

I’m now taking Methimazole for about 2 days now. Will the ringing...
