I apologize in advance if this topic has been discussed and I missed it. I saw my endocrinologist today and my hormone levels are still fluctuating from month to month despite adjustment of my dosage of Methimazole several times. (Was diagnosed in Feb 2008) Now my endo. wants me to increase the Methimazole for 3 weeks, have blood work, and if still having problems regulating the med. he wants me to consider block-replace therapy. I've read about this therapy but would love to hear from someone who has used it. Positives? Negatives? Success? Adverse effects? By the way, i have moderate TED if that makes a difference about using this therapy. Thanks so much.
