After having a total thyroidectomy 3 years ago, it took a long while to start feeling well again. I am still working at getting back to normal. (Loss of energy, fatigue, weight gain, aches and pains, loss of memory and mental focus). But, this surgery was approx. 2 1/2 yrs. following a total hysterectomy. Does "depression" type symptoms follow a total thyroidectomy? (or should i be treating menopause "symptoms"?
