I am not quite yet a grandparent and hope I don't become one for many, many years because my two sons are only 2 and 3 years old. But I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you grandparents who are sacrificing so much to make sure your grandkids are taken care of. My grandparents adopted me and took me in when I was born, because my parents were to sorry at the time to do so. My grandparents are the greatest people I know, and I could never begin to thank them enough for what they have done for me through out life. My grandmother raised me up in church and to love the Lord. It was her doing this that has given me the morals and abilities that I possess today. She is still with me today at 84, and visits my family and I often. Grandpa passed away in 2002, and I don't think I will ever get over it. I do have a relationship with my parents today, but the respect and love that I have for my grandparents will never be there for them. I love my parents, but not even close to how I love my grandparents. Being a parent now myself, affirms my belief that anyone who turns their backs on their kids is a sorry excuse for a human being and they do not even deserve to exist, but that is just my opinion. So in closing, I would just like to say thank you to you wonderful grandparents out there. You ARE making a difference in these kids lives. God bless you.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
