My grandson is 13 months old and not afraid of anything. As I posted in"Is my 13 month old ready for a toddler bed?"he likes to climb. He will climb any thing. He climbs gates, out of crib,on the couch and throws off the cushions and jumps off BACKWARDS!Tonight he got up on the couch and was comming off on his head off the front of it,then he decided it might be more fun to go off on his head over the arm, which is 2-3 foot off the floor. He pulls the dresser drawers out and climbs up them to get on top,I just bearly got to him before he went off on his head. When he does fall he gets up and goes right back and does it again. He has bruses on his forhead from falling before we get to him.We have to keep all the bedroom doors closed to keep him off the dressers.WE have to stay right on his heals to keep him from climbing up on something and falling off.Ihave even seen him try to stack his toys up to climb up on to stuff.......Has anyone got any ideas how to break him from this? Are we going to have to move all furniture out to keep our little daredevil safe? All of my children liked to climb but not like this.He is NOT afraid of any thing and he scares us to death......HE is very advanced for his age and figures things out pretty easy.I have never dealt with a child like him and he wares me out.So please if any one has any ideas I would love to hear them.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Good Luck and give him a kiss for me.
Catch me in chatzy tonight... same time.

I know of a child that is a climber and fell off the back of a sofa and got hurt pretty badly and DFS was called in a children removed from the home. The injuries were pretty bad.
I have a grand daughter that does not know fear, they have been pretty luck so far, but she is now 6 and is getting out of some of it or actually most of the wildness.
Once I felt so horrible. I have a bunk bed in the guest room and she climbed on the top. I walked in to get her and forgot about the ceiling fan....yeap ya got it I tried to chop her head off with the stupid ceiling fan. I screamed and she looked at me in shock with her huge blue eyes and then screamed along with me. She was fine...I was not for some time.
