I have a police scanner and last night for some reason it picked up a baby monitor and there was a baby crying. The scanner kept going to this channel so I turned the volume down but the baby cried off and on all night. I know I should have blocked the channel but something told me to leave it there. This morning the baby is still crying and we hear a lady screaming at the baby to "shut the $%#% up" "I said shut up &*$#(#*#". I was so afraid for this baby but I have no way of knowing where the baby is. The police scanner is running off of a standard anteana so I know it has to be close but there are no babies on my block. I do know that the baby is a girl and that the lady is the girls mother. This yelling went on until this afternoon. What should I do since I do not know who it is? The sound in the ladies voice made me afraid for this child. From the sound of the babies cry I would say it is about the same age of my grandson (10 months)
Any suggestions on what to do would be helpful. I do not want anything to happen because I turned the volume down but I feel bad that I have unknowingly invaded someones privacy. If this child is in danger then that may be the reason why I am able to intervene.

I would call the police and have them to come listen to it tonight if it starts again.Do it as soon as it starts because it may not be just yelling tonight. They have to be real close to you for it to pick up.

With the technology today, I would of called the police immediately. If a women is screaming at a baby and the baby cried all night, you know something is wrong. Please, keep that station on your scanner and call the police. As a matter of fact, I would go ahead and make a report of it. They may have an idea where it is coming from. I hope that child is alright. Let us know how things go.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
