I know the main symptoms but it seems to me there are so many other things that people might look over because they think it isn,t related. Sinus problems seems to be one, which I have had for the same time as the GERD symtoms surfaced. My doctor described the swallowing issue as a 'sensation', where the gullet is in spasms caused by the acid rising. Does that sound right? My dentist also made an observation, which surprised me to say the least, he asked me if I suffered from reflux because he could see the acid damage on the enamal of my back teeth!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I don't know what your dr was talking about. I must not understand it correctly. Whenever in doubt, get a second opinion.
Now I am on Prevacid and I swear by it!!! It helps out so much!
