GERD & Heartburn Support Group
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is defined as chronic symptoms or mucosal damage produced by the abnormal reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus. This is commonly due to transient or permanent changes in the barrier between the esophagus and the stomach. If you are afflicted with GERD or heartburn, join the group and find support.
It's all depend on you.
I know for example that most ppl with GERD can't have pop- but for me I can. and also most ppl are good with crackers- I'm not...
You should try eating foods that you enjoy and make your own list, or maybe 2 lists- one for foods that are ok and one for "bad" foods.
Were you just diagnosed with GERD?
I was just diagnosed with Barretts and researching and finding the same as you. I had saltines a few hours ago - and they even bother me - have not had soda pop in two years - if I try to sample immediately a problem. I would like to know what fruits are non acidic - which veggies are best, etc. like you as well.
thank you for your replies.
I am in a place where I have had no real food in 4 weeks. I am 75 and a small woman. I lost 6 pounds and am down to 101.
there are lists of don't foods, but no do foods. I find baked potatoes are ok, squash, a few crackers, cooked carrots, but have no strength to research much. I thank anyone for any list they might have for me.
blessings!
