This is commonly due to transient or permanent changes in the barrier between the esophagus and the stomach. If you are afflicted with GERD or heartburn, join the group and find support.

Hi,
I have both MS and diabetes and have recently started to experience the following sypmtoms:
heatburn, not related to time of day or eating
acid reflux, again, not related to time of day or food
nausea
lack of appetite
fatigue
I checked with both my doctors and they don't think it is a side effect of any of my medication either.
This is new for me, and has gone on for almost 4 weeks now, not necessarily daily, but several times per week.
I've done some research, and while I know that some of the syptoms could be related to my diabetes or ms. the one thing that seems to fit both is Gastroparesis.
I was wondering if anyone else has this and if you could answer the followiing questions:
1. did it come on suddenly?
2. are your symptoms sporadic or constant?
3. what did you do to control it?
Please help!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
