I am having a horrible time with esophageal spasms that were finally diagnosed about 2 1/2 weeks. I was experiencing chest pain for about 2 years. I'm only 32. This pain was crippling. I ended admitted to the hospital 6 times last year including have a heart catheterization which was negative. (thank God) They ruled me out that this was not my heart. I had GERD for many years and had gastric bypass also. I also currently on my recent endoscopy showed 3 new gastric ulcers. I've been on carafate and protonix for ulcers and ended up getting 2 new ones. not sure how that happened. They doubled my protonix. I take cardizem long acting maximum dose and nitroglycerin as needed for esophageal spasms. esophageal spasms causes severe chest pain. nitro usually takes the pain away immediately. Now, doctors are very much considering surgery which will also involve cardiao-thoracic surgery. That part makes me nervous....Anyone else had a similar problem...I feel like I'm the only one of here with this. Thanks

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
