Support group - need input

I recently found a lgbt youth support group near me and there is a meeting next Monday (28th). The only support group I've even been in is here on DS, so I was wondering if anyone has ever been in one besides here on DS? Any advice or opinions are what I'm looking for.

I found one too, and honestly I'm terrified to actually go. I want to, I just think it would be difficult since I would be outing myself publically and I don't know anyone there. Good luck, hopefully you'll get more progress than I will haha.

I'll probably end up going, but I'm TERRIFIED. I don't being in groups of people where I don't know anyone, I always feel like the odd ball out. If I'm learning anything about myself from DS it's that I don't feel very comfortable talking about my personal stuff, but I know it's something that needs to be done in order to move past certain things.

Super nervous. Just wishing someone could tell me they've been there and it turned out GREAT or something, ya know?

I would also love to go to a group, but I am completely terrified. My worst fear is going and there wind up being people from my high school there.

    I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
