I told my teacher what topic i was doing for my speech monday, ive written it out, typed it, and everything. Well all she said to me was, "You cant do that, that topic would make me too uncomfortable to listen too, along with many other people."
"YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO DISCUSS GAY RIGHTS."
That is what she said to me. Right to my face. I was shocked and didnt know how to respond.. so all i did was ask for a new draft sheet to start over with another speech and left. I told two friends of mine afterschool about the situation, they are also gay and were in shock. One was outraged to say the least and took it to the principal within seconds. So just two hours ago I had a meeting with him and discussed what was wrong. I dont know what is going to happen, but he said he will keep me informed and try his best to help.. did i do the right thing by going to him? By just walking away from my teacher when she spoke those words to me? I feel like if she knew i was gay she would be appalled, for that's how she feels if i even discuss the subject.. I dont know if I can even face her tomorrow.. it sucks.

Oh shit where do you go to school? Ive never felt stunted by my teachers before, we are even debating Gay Rights in my government class as we speak! Tell her your education is being limited by shallow minds. Tell her this is the reason why 25% of Americans cant locate the US on a world map. Theyre keeping us dimb and easy to control. What a bunch of sheep. This really angers me.

I think you did the right thing by not engaging in a debate with your teacher right there, and going to a higher authority about it. You should definitely fight this one, though. Don't back down, and see if you can get some people to back you up. Obviously, don't get yourself hurt, but if you can make even the smallest change it will help make the world better.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
