Hello everyone! I know I'm not the only one dealing with the nightmare of hair loss after GBS, my dermatologists specializes in conditions of the hair, scalp and nails. So yesterday I had an appt. with her seeking proffesional help for the hair loss, this is what she told me: first of all we gave our bodies a "shock" by losing huge amounts of weight in a relatively short period of time, she says that by loosing 20 pounds even with GBS u will see some hair falling so you can imagine when you loose more than a 112 pounds in 7 months!(using myself as an example); the good news is that she told me that when the weight loss is over and your weight stabilizes your hair will start growing back!!! THERE IS HOPE PEOPLE!!! She told me to keep taking the biotin, but told me to realize that is not a miracle pill and she prescribed me a shampoo that will prevent big amounts of hair to fall. It's wonderful to know this will stop when we reach our goal weight! And of course, and if this is the prize you have to pay for loosing all this pounds so be it!!!, cause I'm having the best time of my life. Hope this help you!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
