I'm completely discouraged at the moment. I saw the bariatric surgeon October 7th and we discussed the types of surgeries and what he would recommend for me. October 13th I saw the nutritionist, exercise trainer, and pyschiatrist. October 16th I had all lab work, upper GI, chest X-Ray and ultrasound done. I haven't heard anything about the results of any of it, except when the radiologist told me I had a small hiatal hernia during the upper GI. I feel like it has been forever, I keep reminding myself that it's only October 28th. It feels like forever. I have to wait to see the cardiologist November 30th for clearance, which I think will involve a stress test, echocardiogram, etc. It just seems like I am never going to have a surgery date. I'm having a problem following the exercise program my trainer has suggested because I can't physically do the cardio part at my current weight. I find myself getting discouraged and not following my 1500 calorie diet to well either. I feel if I could do the 1500 calorie diet and exercise expected of me, that I would not need the surgery as a major tool to help me. I'm just extremely discouraged at this point and really tired of waiting. I see the pyschiatrist this morning, maybe that will help.. sigh.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
