Hello. I'm a new member. I'm sorry if I'm being redundant, but I was wondering if anybody as far post op as me (or close to it) is experiencing problems w/Vitamin/Mineral deficiencies. I am having a terrible problem. The symptoms came on very slowly and were easily dismissed to other things. I will gladly let you know what the symptoms were, if anybody wants to know. Anyway, I am deficient (extremely) in B-12, Iron and D, and that's just the tip of the iceberg I suspect. I have an apt. w/a specialist (hemotologist) next week for treatment recommendations and more tests. Right now I'm getting B-12 shots 2ce a month, take 50,000 ICU's of D once a week, and am going to being Iron infusions. Won't have any info on the infusions or other treatments until next wk's dr's visit. Needless to say, anything I took by mouth did me absolutely no good at all, and the sublingual B-12 didn't help much either. Anybody having similar problems? I'd love to know. I don't know anybody whose ever had GBS. I'm also wondering if there are people out there who are as far out of surgery or close to it as I am or if most are either recently post-op, or pre-op, etc. I know the "mantra" is "I'd do it again in aa heartbeat" but, in all honesty, I had a very, very hard time from day one. Am all alone? Thanks for any comments, remarks, etc. Peace and Love, Sandilla

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
