Tomorrow Dean, my partner and love of my life is having WLS. As of today he is still insisting on banding AMA. We have appts today with his the endocrinologist and the surgeon, I am hoping against hope he will be persuaded to take his surgeon's advice and opt for GBS. If that doesn't work, he MUST give the surgeon permission to convert to GBS if he can't place the band. Frankly, if he won't listen to reason I hope that is what happens in the ER. He is in rough shape and his diabetes is robbing him of his life. He doesn't have the 2-3 years it takes for banding to work, and with no guarantee it will resolve his diabetes. The whole process has been stressful beyond words for me and I am glad the date is finally here. Thank you for all of your support and I covet your prayers and positive thoughts.
