Surgery date set...now get thru holidays

They have finally set my surgery date for Jan. 28, 2008. I thought it would be sooner but when going thru testing I found out that I had 2 VERY LARGE gall stones so I had to have my gall bladder taken out. Becuase my immune system is already compromised because of Lupus my surgeon wouldn't take out my gall bladder and do the bypass at the same time because he said it would be too difficult for me to recuperate from the bypass. I now have to wait 90 days (insurance reasons) and will now be going thru the holidays. I hope I don't put on tons of extra weight over Thanksgiving and Christmas. Any suggestions??? I feel like I could have the "Last Supper syndrome" for the next 2 months!!! HELP!! Also, any recommendations as to what I can start stacking up on for post-op necessities. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
The basics are sublingual B-12 (we don't absorb B-vitamins well post-op), biotin (to fight hair loss), chewable multivitamins, iron (available in chewable form as well), and protein supplements.
Make sure your protein supplement isn't full of carbs. Amelia found one with 23 grams protein and something like 2-4 grams carbs. I found mine at unjury.com that has 20 grams protein and 2-6 grams carbs. Unjury.com sells single serving "sample" packs so you can taste-test them. I love the chocolate and the vanilla will be great to add fruit and make smoothies (haven't tried the others yet).
Hope this helps!
Start eating using small plates, bowls and baby spoon and forks. Get used to sitting down and not doing anything while you are eating so you get used to chewing well. Start walking now because you'll be doing lost after surgery.
Get your mind ready for this so it can help your body when it needs to. I'm 4 days post-op and feeling sorry for the food I can't have but I have a goal and I see it in front of me. You need to be thinking that to.
As far as things to stock up on. I found this cool u-tube entry that someone showed things to get ahead of time. It was helpful in my case and I'm sure I'll be using almost all of it. Here's the link for her list of things. I checked with my surgeon and he didn't really say yes or no about anything and it all made sense:
