I am a 34yr. old female. I have been over weight all my life. My highest weight has been 299lbs. I started taking phentermine 30mg. about a year ago. I have only lost about 30-40 lbs. I have been considering the gastric by pass for awhile now. My husband says I should have it done. He is very supportive. Which he had it about 6 1/2 yrs. ago. It saved hes life. He was alomost 600lbs. so I'm not a stranger to the surgery. But its a real drastic step.I know that its not a quick fix its a life change. I know that if I could get the weight off it would be better on me. I have also researched the Lap-Band surgery but didnt like the fact that if you drank anything with your meal it would just wash the food on through the hole to the larger pouch in your stomache so you wouldnt feel full. So I just wanted some advice
