I hear/read so many saying they can't eat certain things and get full quickly and even throw up. This is what I expected to happen with me.
However... I had my surgery on the 17th - started pureed food the 22nd and have never had an issue. I never get nauseous nor have pain. It's almost like I never had the surgery except for all the holes in my belly! I do not feel hungry ever which is good.
Why am I concerned? I'm just afraid that since my body isn't telling me "STOP! You've had enough!" I'll overeat and not lose!
Any ideas?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I'm 54 yrs old.
Occaisionally I get the "I have to run to the Bathroom now!" scooters. But only when I eat a lot of fat (and when I have been really constipated before I discovered probiotics I did this once or twice just to be able to go!) I learned quickly what I could tolerate and what I couldn't tolerate. I am very careful about what I eat and where, so I don't do that running to the bathroom thing at the wrong time and the wrong place. You will learn. Just be kind to yourself!
If you watch what you eat, avoid the fat and sugar and eat within the limits of your pouch, you may never get sick. That is ok.
But eventually you will try something you shouldn't and it will happen. WE are all human and not a single one of us is perfect. It's all a learning thing. And even once you know, you will mess up occasionally. It's the overall picture that matters!
Good Luck!

I was even starting to think maybe the surgeon didn't reduce the size enough...
So... I won't be shocked if it happens "down the road".
GL!
Good Luck
