This morning i weighed in at 148 i am finally under 150, this has taken me over 3 months which is okay considering where i came from. The sweetest thing about this weight change is I am seeing my surgeon and nut this thursday. Last time I saw my surgeon (6 months out) he challenged me to be in the 140's and I did it. I remembering thinking are you nuts, i will never weigh that little, he was right. Just wanted to share some good news. I purchased the book UpNorthGuy suggested and here are some major items I have been applying since I picked it up:
> Eat sitting down, eat slowly and taste what I am eating.
> Am I really hungry, recognize the difference between hunger, desire and craving. I actually skipped 2 snacks I normally have but asking myself that very question, instead i opted for a big class of water and kept myself busy with some housework, happy to say i made it to lunch and dinner without a snack and really wasnt hungry.
> writing down the nite before what i plan to eat the following day
the book is worth the read.

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
They say the last 10 pounds are the hardest to lose and you and I both can attest for that. We both have struggled the last 3 months with losing anything at all. I guess cutting out those snacks helped your cause. I am going to try your techniques and see what happens with me.
What is the name of that book by the way???
I cant take credit for this one, UpNorthGuy posted it a few days ago.
When I started I wasn't sure what I wanted to get to, but now I have that number in my head and not sure sometimes if I can do it. Reading your story makes me belive that I can. I also want to see those 140's!! You inspire me!!
FYI, there's also a newer version of the book the encompasses all of Judith Becks weight loss tools including the cognitive therapy. It's called The Complete Beck Diet For Life.
