I find myself eating a protein bar as a snack. Is this O.K.? I feel like I'm cheating because it reminds me of a candy bar but the ones I eat have 180 calories, 20G Protein and 2G sugar. I started eating them when I couldn't keep my regular meals down (if what I ate didn't agree with my pouch and would come back up I would have a protein bar a couple hrs later to get my protein in) then I started to have one as a mid morning snack. I have my protein shake for breakfast and mid morning I would have a bar. I usally only have one a day unless My dinner comes back up then I may also have one in the evening. Has anyone been told not to eat them?

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
