I am confused about all the new surgeries and not getting proteins. My doctor started me on proteins right a way. I went home from the hospital having to take in at least 35-40 grams of protein. By my 6th week I was taking in 60-70 grams of protein. Protein is very important, without enough protein you will have severe hair loss, along with other problems. Also, no one mentions vitamins. What vitamins are any of you on. I take 3 times a day a chewable multi-vitamin, a chewable calicum, iron, b-12. I know since I had my surgery almost 3 years ago things have changed but I know I can't go a day w/o my protein or vitamins. I have bloodwork done every 3 months to make sure everything is going like it should. I'd like to hear about what other doctors require.
