HAd my surgery Tuesday the 23rd. I am 2 days out and miserable. Pain is barely controlled. My surgeon stitched up one of the incisions to a muscle and now the weight of my pannis is pulling on the muscle. The results are excruciationg. He clasims it is standard procedure but the pain is almost unbearable. On top of that, I am nauseated constantly from the pain meds. I hope this gets better. If I am still in pain Monday, I am going to make my surgeon deal with the stitching on the incision. I am a little depressed and hope things get better soon. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?

no, and maybe they should have kept you in hospital if you are in so much pain, can't believe they let you out like that. BUT it is supposed to get better each day so rest as much as you can alternating it with little walks around the house and keep hydrated but of course call your doctor if you are not happy about the amount of pain you're in.

What I thought was pain from the surgery was actually gas pain. I went home the next day without any painkillers. The nurse actually told me when I asked about a prescription for pain killers that if I needed them then I wasn't ready to go home. On the 3rd day I had started passing gas and all the discomfort was gone. I never had any pain from the incisions. I would get on phone with the doctors office. Best of luck to you.

I actually am passing gas and I have even had a bowel movement so I know it is not that. It is definately burning from the weight on the incision. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem. It is good to present a logical arguement for the Docs cause I think everything becomes sort of standard procedure to them.

I had a ton of pain too. I really propped myself on pillows so nothing stretched and was painful. I have a temperpedic mattress, so its really soft. I would have used a body pillow to support my belly *like I did when I was pregnagnt*. The pain did ease, but I was miserable for at least a week. I did stay in the hospital for 4 days. I told them I just coldnt go home. I could barely get out of bed. Things will be better. I promise.
