I just want to say that every surgeon is different. They have their own tried and true methods of doing WLS. They have different aftercare and menus. Some people will be on clear liquids for a week after surgery, some will be on them for a month after.
Listen to your own surgeon. Ask your nutritionist what you can/can't have. Look at the paperwork that your surgeon gave you.
Like lettuce. I can't have it yet because my surgeon warned me against it. But, some people can have it because their surgeons okay'd it. I can't have bread or anything like that for another 3 months. But, some people might can have it a few weeks after surgery. I can have pasta right now, but some people can't. It's all a matter of listening to your surgeon and his/her staff.
Listen to your surgeon, nutritionist, and your own body. You're not going to hear the same thing twice on the internet. Everybody's experiences are going to be different because every BODY is different.
That's all.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
However, many here only got menu suggestions to get them through just the very first part of post-op. This is why there is so much discussion on here about this subject.
These people didn't get the good Dr's like you and I did. They got their surgeries and were turned loose with almost no info. This is why we are here.
We can use the help! Welcome!!
God Bless!

I told her I was concerned about what I eat, gave her a sample menu.... she said as long as its not making me sick, its OK. I have no guidance what so ever. My suergon is good, I have followed up with him once a month, but hes concerned about "his part"
So, I am sort of relying on the info at DS. I know the basics....
Anyone here that is confident in their info they received from their Dr is encouraged to help those who aren't so lucky! As I said earlier, We're glad you're here!
God Bless!
