I am joining this site to help my daughter who had GBS about 4 months ago. She is having painful abdominal cramping, but I am sure it is because of her diet. Although she cannot eat a tremendous amount of food she is still eating things, I think she shouldn't. She will eat french fries, a slice of pizza, and other things that are fried (deep) that she picks up at fast food places. Fountain pop. She things that because she can swallow them that they are not causing a problem. I keep asking her to go back to the basics and see if that helps. I seem to remember from the initial meetings one thing was that fats and sweets wouldn't be a problem as the result of eating them would be solution enough. My daughter thinks that vomiting is the only sign of things she can't / shouldn't eat. I am sure this is all a work in progress and we will learn as we go. It is very gratifying though to see the weight coming off.
