Pain on left side
Since about five days after my gastric bypass I have had severe pain on my left side below my rib cage. My doctor ordered a CAT scan which ruled out a leak. He said he did not know what it was and it would probably go away. Has anyone else experienced this. It has continued for more than a week. I take up to 5 Norco a day, a muscle relaxer for my back as well as other nerve blockers and nothing touches it. Has anyone else experienced this type of pain after surgery? Any idea as to what it is would be appreciated.

I'm on my pre-op diet, day 4. I've been struggling not to eat. It's harder then I thought it would be. My family came for the weekend and there's food every where I turn. I'm so tempted. I'm just totally rethinking everything. Can I live on such a small amount of food after surgery? I'm really starting to wonder. It's all becoming so real now. And I'm freaking out. Is there anyone who can help me...

I had to have a lung biopsy, and I have cancer. A very rare form that doesn't have any standard treatment. There just isn't a lot of case history for this. It is epithelioid hemangio endothelioma. The cancer support group doesn't talk every day. I can understand why. I'm waiting for the oncologist to call back for an appointment, and will hear in the next few days. Who knew. Ha!
It's so hard dealing with pain especially when you don't get any support from the person who your supposed to be closest to. So hard when your trying to deal with pain and that person treats you worse than the pain. Having hard time understanding why. unless you are having a good Day you are treated like crap and they make you feel worthless.
