I have a brother that is very overweight. Initially when I was thinking about having this surgery (April 2007) I told him we should try this together. Well, as it ended up I went through with it and he didn't. I asked him after I had the surgery this year why he didn't and won't go through with it, he told me this: "I would rather have 40 quality years of my life than 50 not quality years of my life". He takes 11 different meds. a day. I worry about his health. I know he won't live much past 40 at the rate he is going. I know that only he can help himself. After he seen what I went through with only clear liquids, and having to eat slow, sip, etc. he said that it isn't living. Is there any advice that I can give him to wake him up to what he is doing to his body? As I read on eggfaces' blog, he is killing himself with knife and fork. Help!! I love him and I want him to be around for quite awhile...

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
