Ok so this is sooo off topic just so all of you know.
Anyway, my son had a visit with his father is past weekend. He came home stating that his aunt wants me to contact her on facebook so that he and his cousin could get together. He saw his cousin also this weekend, and they RARELY see each other since they live a few hours away.
Anyway, the problem with it is that my son is 13 and cousin 14 and cousin told my son that he has a f**k buddy and that he already had a pregnancy scare with the girl since he doesn't like using something. Cousin said he wants as many women that he can get and do it with them. Also he has his parents drop him off at one house and goes to another for a party and there is drinking and drugs there such as pot and cocaine. cousin tells son that his mom does not know any of this and I'm stuck between a rock and hard place.
What on earth do I tell the mom why i do not want my son going over there for a weekend?? How do I not know they will go to a "friends' house and go to a party instead? They keep calling me and leaving messages about them getting together. HELP! thanks

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I would talk to your son and explain the seriousness of his cousins behavior and explain why you have to tell his mom. Hiding this boys behavior only allows it to continue and he could get in serious trouble or wind up with a baby @ 14.
This is a tough situation, I wish you luck

Maybe inviting the cousin to your house is an alternative? I think you still need to talk to the other mom, but as Misa said, denial is deep, and you could run into resistance there. Stay strong, your son doesn't need a role model like his cousin. Do you have a good enough relationship with your son's dad to talk to him? After all, it's his nephew.
Good luck, I'll be thinking good thoughts for you!

" I wanted to let you know how much I love your kids and how worried I am about something I found out. It has come to my attention that your son and some of his friends maybe doing drugs and going to parties behind your back and taking chances with his life having unprotected sex. I would hate to see him hurt in any way or even killed. I thought you might want to know from a family member instead of the police letting you know."
Then let your son knowwhy he isn't allowed to hang with the cousin and all the deadly things that could happen.
And, as far as phone calls find out how to block them and give the mother your cell number in case she need to talk with you.
You could also ask the other mom to have the son stop calling you and your son for a while.
I beleive in prayers, pray before you talk to either of the parties involved.
God be with you!

The moral of this story.... talk to the ex-in-law and let her know what her son told your son. At the age of 14, I don't believe all of that only because of hearing these dumb-ass boys talking to each other. I did tell these young men (that are our future, yikes!) that if all they were saying was true, I would talk to their parents. And I did talk to a couple of them. They just mainly told their boys the same thing that I told mine... they are dumb asses and to shut up!
Trust me, things aren't that bad BUT you may want to tell the mom because the cousin could be bringing on trouble for himself in the long run.

So I don't have any advice, unfortunately, but I want to wish you the best of luck with this!!
