The written materials I've been given by the dr's office say 3-4 days for lap and 1-2 weeks for open. I've read here that a lot of people are released the next day. Do you think this is primarily because of insurance restrictions? I would think they'd want to keep you in a few days to keep an eye on you and do tests. Personally, I wamt to stay as long as possible as I have no one to care for me afterwards, not to mention I'm doing this out of town.
