I am almost 18 months out and have only lost about 75 pounds -- 20 to go. My weightloss has been nill for months. I an a type 1 diabetic. The main problem is that I can't tolerate most protein -- I get stomach pain and cramps. I don't dump from sugar and fat, but I do from protein and some vegetables. And then, when I eat the carbs my blood sugar rises and I have to take more insulin. Insulin stores fat and I don't lose weitht. Another thing, I am hungry all the timne -- physical hunger within 1.5 hours after eating. Lately I have living on mylanta to keep from eatring. It helps for a while.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
It has worked really well for me. I buy extra firm tofu, freeze it a little so it will crumble and mix it with mc cormick taco seasoning . Cook according to directions and add refried beans to it. My family thought I served them hamburger. Tofu takes on the flavor of whatever you marinate or cook it in. Worth a try. :)
Try cooking meat in the croc pot. Makes it so tender and moist , easier to eat. Make some homemade soups, even add more protein to them. Beans are a great source of protein too.
And of course drink lots of water and chew everything to death.
My blood sugars are not at all stable yet, so I know how much harder this is when you are dealing with diabetis but I know you can do this.
