I just read"Unexpected Comment". I too had been there as so many of us had.But how many have had the "Worst Moment" memory that will never ever leave them from the "Scar " it left with them? Have you ever gone to your weightloss group "T.O.P.S" and had the scale break under your weight? So they could get your proper weight, they had you drive over to where they weigh grain on a drive-on scale to weigh you. How many have gone to visit your in-laws and miss-judged the holding capacity of their furniture and the leg on the couch collapses under you and your sister-inlaw makes a very unpleasant seen about it? My husband did straightened the bent leg, and tightened it . It was the most embarrassing moment.Earlier before we decided to move our visit to her indoor area I wouldn't sit in their plastic patio furniture for fear it wouldn't be strong enough to hold me. When inside her home I miss judged her couch's strength. Life as a "Morbidly Obese" person will forever be inside me -forever scarred and those most humbling most embarrassing of situational circumstances burn branded on my consience for life. I believe life "tempers" us and makes us who we are. The body may change either way, but the remenents of how we lived in those other body shapes still lingers on. Let us remember that, and be kind to our fellow human beings that haven't taken our great step with gastric bypass surgery and not judge them as we have been judged by others. We are at least lucky that we have found support here amoungst ourselves on "Daily Strength"and we find strength and compassion here.
