Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
When I went back to work, I took string cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, deli turkey and swiss cheese rolled up together, oatmeal (and milk so I could make it with milk instead of water to get more protein - oh and I used 1/4 cup of 1 minute quick oats oats and 1 cup milk in the microwave for about a minute and a half. It makes it runny, but after it sits it is just right...and I add splenda).
If I went out to lunch I would get chili or an omlet (and eat about 1/4th of it - lol) or a grilled chicken breast - altho at first chicken is really hard to get down. you have to chew it to a pulp.
I always did my protein shakes at home, tho. I just never found a good way to make them at work. But I guess you could make them ahead of time and freeze them so that they are ready to drink around break or lunch time.
I hope you are enjoying your last few days off work.
