If we skip the documentation part I can tell you what I've been hearing and reading.
Smoking causes ulcerations of the stomach (pouch), and all of the risks faced by Normie smokers.
Iron deficiency will be an even bigger problem post-op as Normie smokers already malabsorb iron and calcium.
I quit in May, and haven't had my surgery yet. I used Patches, but I've been hearing wonderful stories about the Chantix. My Dad has used it successfully and he's 70!
I did want to stop in and tell you Congratulations on your weight loss though!! Good Job!! I haven't seen a size 14 since I was 10 years old!!!!

My 2 cents- smoking and food are addictions. If you can keep away from the food, then you can keep away from the cigs! GOOD LUCK!
