Does anyone wake up and feel very empty in your pouch? I want to get up and eat but I have a lot of pills to get down so I drink a protein shake for this. Just wondering if anyone else feels this and how you cope with it.

It all depends on what I eat the night before. If I dont eat enough, I do wake up hungry. I do drink a ton in the AM before I eat breakfast (20-24 0z) and that helps!

My empty feeling is intense and painful hunger -- especially in the morning, but within 2-3 hours after I eat. Very frustrating and protein shakes do not help. I try to drink in between. Lorraine

My friend had surgery 4 years ago with the same surgeon i went to and she told me to start everyday and end everyday with a small glass of milk. I have 4oz of lactaid milk first thing when I wake up in the morning, and 4 oz of milk just before I turn the lights out and go to sleep. this helps me not go to bed hungry, and when i wake up the milk jump starts my digestive system. Without being too graphic the morning milk usually triggers me to have a BM within an hour or so. Half and hour to an hour after the milk i will have breakfast. Cottage cheese or usually a protein shake. The 2 4oz glasses of milk get me 8 grams of protein right off the bat. I take Centrum Liquid multivitamin with the milk and biotin. Then at lunch and dinner I have calcium. I am taking B12 as a shot 1 time a month. So I only have 1 pill in the morning.

I do have that same feeling, and I have a very specific routine, I get ready for work...as soon as I get there I make myself a protein shake, then I have lunch about 4-5 hours later, then later in the day I have a few cashews & another protein shake, then for dinner I eat a piece of fruit, and before bed I have my last protein shake...that is all I eat.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
