EAS soy protein powder

I finally found a way I can drink the stuff without wanting to vomit. I really do NOT like soy!

I found adding about a cup of strawberries to the blender makes it tolerable. If anyone has any other ways of hiding the taste of soy, please let me know!

this is what i used because i could not tolerate whey. The premade EAS chocolate shakes arent so bad. I also used this to make protein cakes with the recipes on eggface's site.

I was told that we don't metabolize soy protein very well.. because it breaks down with the help of stomach acids which for us arent present until further in the digestive process. I'm not sure if you are having trouble with Whey protein? That is what is generally recommended.

Upnorthguy is correct, we should stick to whey if we can. I couldnt tolerate whey at all..my surgeon gave me the ok to switch to soy. Unless you have the ok from your doc, you should stick with Whey.

i bought this before the surgery, and barely touched it because i HATE the taste... however, it cost so much, i am loathe to just toss it

Upnorthguy - i hear that also about metabolizing soy... even heard it's not great for those without GBS. Also... google the effects of soy on the hormonal system.. i hate soy too and wonder if my tastebuds are trying to tell me something :-)

I've also have had trouble with the shakes post op. Found out it was more the milk than the whey... and the temperature - too cold!

    I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
