I was supposed to be on the puree stage over a week ago and just now starting to handle it. Until now I've only done jello and popsicles. I've lost 30 pounds, but now I'm wondering if that will stop since I'm able to eat more. I'm trying to watch calories, fat, carbs, especially sugars...
Some have told me that I will still lose once I start eating for real, but I'm scared since the first 30 came really fast and for a week (the week I've been eating more than jello) I haven't lost anything.

OK EVERYONE IS DIFFRENT. BUT, YOU WILL START TO LOSE AGAIN YOUR BODY HAS TO PLAY CATCH UP. JUST REMEMBER TO DRINK AND EXERCISE WHEN YOU CAN. I THINK YOU WILL BE JUST FINE.

I remember as I transistioned each time it was during a mini plateau. Your body needs to catch up to the losses so just keep plugging along you are far fromfinished losing. Be gentle as you introduce new foods too as they don't always have the same reaction as before.

I hate the word "DIET", it is an ugly 4 letter word. Lets think of this process as a way to change our eating behavior and adopt exercise as part of our everyday life. Too many of us have failed at dieting so consider this your body's chance to hit its reset button and start a new way of living, one that will bring you much happiness, energy and a new reflection looking back at you in the mirror. Dont sweat the plateaus, just do what they told you to do and you will lose the weight. Good luck.

I had the same fears. Just follow the instructions of your surgeon and dietician. The weight will continue to fall off.

You will lose again if you follow the directions of your doctor and dietician. Sometimes however, you will have several days where you lose nothing as your body tries to balance itself. It thinks you are starving and doesn't want to lose the fat. Be patient and the weight will disappear. I go several weeks without weight loss and suddenly lose 10 pounds over three days. I have done this regularly for ten months. It is frustrating and scary, but so far I have lost 140 in all.

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
