Has anyone used the diet dinnerware at www.mydietdinnerware.com? My husband wants me to get a set. He seems to think I am still eating too fast. Sigh. He is the food police...he who has not had surgery and instead insists that his heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes as well as a slew of other health related problems will go away if he loses "the old fashioned way". (he has over 200 pounds to lose). Anyway, enough venting, has anyone used this? Is it worth it? Does it work? I admit that there are times that I do eat faster than I should and most of those times, I pay dearly for my mistake! Just looking for some feedback before spending the money. Oh, I am 10 weeks out with 82 pounds down....

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Hope this helps you out :o)
keep up the good work

If you think diet dinnerware will make a difference, do what a few on here have done, buy a baby spoon.
You are succeeding and celebrate that and enjoy your journey because it is all in the journey!!! There is no destination.

I sometimes eat too fast, too. My boyfriend sometimes discreetly reminds me to slow down if I am eating fast, not chewing enough, but that's happening a LOT less now than during the first few months on solid food.
I went to the discount bin and bought side salad size plates that were pretty colors.
I eat everything I can with fork and small spoon (teaspoon -- even for soup). Chopsticks helped me as well.
Putting down the fork in between bites. Using a beautiful placemat. Turning the plate so the protein is in front of me.
Changes you have made are for you. Do what works for you. Your husband can't loose the weight for you. He can either get on board with your program or shut his pie-hole and concentrate on himself.
Put the spoon/fork down between bites. That will help so slow you down.
