Iam 50 years, male, diabetic, my BMI is 34. I am seriously intrested to do Gastric BYpass to get rid off my Diabtes along with my over weight, when I go to doctors, they discourage me saying my BMI is less than 35, so my insurance does not approve. I called my BCBS insurance, one of their requirements should be at least BMI 35. I meet other requirements, but not BMI of 35. What options I have to convince my Insurane?
