I am 16 months Post op. 2 months after WLS ulcers developed in my stomach and perforated. Endured exploritory surgery. Docs "don't know" what caused the ulcers. I'd never had them before. I take meds for seizures, depression, thyroid and Protonix (for stomach acid). I still get pain in my stomach. Our stomach acid production is less, right,so any pills we take just hang out and burn holes or what?? Haven't seen doc in some time. Was never told by doc to crush meds. Would like to hear from those who have to take meds and does anyone have to use an acid medication (Protonix)
