I just spent a bunch of money from Bariatric choice.com on their "Bariatric Advantage" Calcium Citrate lozenges and they are crap.. that are just even BIGGER pills that your suppose to suck on like a cough drop, but have the same horrible taste that you get from crushing a regular horse sized pill. I found out from someone on here that you can take the regular Calcium Citrate with D pills and put them in like an ounce of water and let them dissolve.. then just drink the water and toss out the remaining white pill crap and you are good to go. I checked with my Nut and she told me that this works great and is the easiest way to go!!.
So I bought these Calcium Citrate w/D at Target and I have to take 5 of them a day to get the 1500 mg a day that my doctor wants. I split them in half and soak 5 halves in water twice a day and drink the water.. it's simple and easy.. and a TON better than chewing or grinding up pills and trying to do it that way. I wish I hadn't bought these expensive Bariatric Advantage Moose Lozenges.. they were like $36.00 a bottle and a waste of money. Just get the cheap ones at Wal-mart or wherever and toss them in a little water and drink up!!.. you will save yourself a lot of time and irritation .. hahaha. Good Luck!
You do need them... and it's very important that you are taking them.. actually its the Iron supplements you aren't suppose to take with the Calcium.. you should take the iron 4 hours after you take the calcium if you are on a separate iron supplement... which isn't the case for everyone.
