I am familiar with several of their products, but I found the Max Protein by SEI Pharmaceuticals (order online or sometimes your local GNC store have it or can order for you).

I still have a choc. shake each morning , and now can add some other things to make it satisfying. Don't give up on trying different ones. Soon you'll be able to get that protein in with other foods. If you like lentils (I like to cook them up in chicken broth and eat like that), or refried beans with cheese on them, were early favorites. Eggs are high in protein if you can eat them. I still have some days I can not.

Meant to also add that what I do like from Bariatric Advantage are the vitamins. I still use a berry chewable, almost 2 years post op. (If it works, why switch?) Also their B-12.

I use the protein shote... they are cheaper at the Vitamine Store and Vitamine Shoppe I mix them 50/50 too sweet other wise. good luck

I use their vitamins, calcium, iron, and sublingual b12. It all works well with my pouch but eventually I want to switch to something cheaper and local. I like special k fiber and protien water. It doesn't have much protien but every little bit helps. It tastes like crystal light and you can buy it at the grocery store.

Let us know how you like the protein snacks etc. When I finally see real food again I would love to be able to eat a pretzel. I LOVE pretzels and would do anything for one.

I'm still pre-op, and I don't know if my review here will help or not, but I have been trying different protein items to try to know what I'm going to be able to stand the taste of post-op.

I haven't tried anything from Bariatric Advantage, but I have been ordering things from Bariatric Eating.com to try. They have a wide range of high protein items. I've really been liking the taste of the Protein Crunch energy bars. The bars remind me of those sugar wafer cookies, but the great thing about these is that they are all very, very low in sugar (think it is 4-5g per bar) and have 14-15g of protein per bar. BE.com also has some tasty shakes in a variety of flavors that I've tried.

I have seen that the site also offers some other protein-rich items similar to the chips and pretzels that you mentioned in your post.

I hope if your not getting in protein that you are aware that you will start losing your hair.
You have to get the protein in, take Biotin 500mg capsules vitamin and some use Nioxin shampoo.
I tell you this, because I was just like you. I have very thick hair and even my hair dresser never expected this to be a problem for me, until I had bald spots all over the back of my head.
If your not happy with the protein shakes you've tried...keep looking you will find 1 that you like. Mine tastes just like chocolate milk....it's classic whey from fitrx.com.

I have tried the Pretzles from bariatric advantage, and I do not like them. I also tried the snack ring thingies... they look like cherios. I tired bar b q and sour creame not very tasty, they leave a funny taste in your mouth. I do not like thier calcium at all. too chalky. I do however take their multi vitamine, Iron and B12 and if you have it on re-order the shipping is free. I also take one Bariatric Fusion multi... they taste a whole lot better but they do not have as high vitamine content. I take three diff kinds of calcium daily. Since our bodies ony absorb 500 mg at a time of the calcium and we need to take it 2 hours a part I figured I would get a variety in there.

as far as snack bars I found the atkins are pretty high in protein and they come in a few flavors that I like.

I did find that my taste has changed after the surgery, I used to be a choco-holic not so much anymore.

btw... I know two people that used all that stuff for hair loss and it did not work for them. I am losing hair but I am sure it will stop at one point... I hear at about 8 months... I hope that is right :) so far I do not have any bald spots.
