I had my open gastric bypass 4 years ago. I lost a total of 125 pounds and continue to keep it off. I was feeling great, until I got an arthritis flare after my hernia repair (caused by the byapass). I am now dealing with spondyloarthropathy, this a form of arthritis. My rheumatologist insit there is a link to the bypass, however, the bariatric surgeon states there is no realation to it. HAS ANYONE OUT THERE EXPEREINCE ARTHRITIS AFTER HAVING A BYPASS?..I would love to find anyone, who has the same problem, since there seems to be no other reason for the severe arthritis that I am suffering now with. Thanks and keep on keeping on..with the gastric bypass life style..It is not easy specially at the begining, however, it gets sooo much better.. thanks for any advice or support.
