Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Aren't you still on all clears?? If this is really giving you problems call the Dr.'s office, if they have a nutritionist or dietitian, maybe they have a suggestion or two! Good Luck!

Or try different brands. Several places online will allow you to purchase samples to try, I may go this route at least for a while. I already have a big box of different samples. This way I don't get stuck with a big jug of something I don't like! Good Luck!

did you know you can cut down on the water when making shakes and eat them more like pudding or with ice in a blender to have them like ice cream?!?
Janelle
so far have been having (not in any particular order or amoung)
vegetable soups blended down so they have no lumps
I also add some grated cheese and swirl it and make it melt so it is 'liquid'
chocolate ice cream (only 1 and a half oz a day)
natural yogurt and greek yogurt
houmus (small quantities and slowly)
protein shakes (only had 3 so far in 8 days)
water (LOADS OF IT)
clear vegetable broth/miso soup as a hot drink
orange juice (tolerate a glass very well)
fruit smoothies
Afraid I don't have any other ideas but so far have never felt any hunger at all, I just 'eat' 'cos I know it's lunch time not because I am hungry.
But this might change next week
I was told to stay on fluids until day 14 then start on pureed food from day 15 to day 30 then normal food
I hate the pre-mixed canned shakes because of the artificial sweetner after taste, but the powdered whey protein mixed with soy milk are good. Plus you can add different things like banana or other fruits and make it into smoothies.
