Yes, your pouch will eventually stretch (and grow) as time goes one, so you want to take advantage of this time right now when you're in your honeymoon period .... being careful not to overeat and stretch your pouch prematurely. If you think you should only be eating 2 or 3 ounces instead of 4oz.... then only serve yourself 2 oz, not 4.
As for eating too fast. Are you putting your spoon down between bites? Are you chewing, chewing, chewing? Are you eating with distractions (watching TV, talking, reading) which might cause you to eat more quickly? try to figure out WHY you're eating so fast and if there's a way you can train yourself to slow down.
