Hey guys. I had my surgery last monday and everything was easier than expected. I was due to get out of the hospital on tuesday night but I got an infection in my colon. I was put on Keflex before the surgery and then they give me a bag of IV antibiotics during surgery. The antibiotics not only killed the bad bacteria, but also the good bacteria in my colon. They called it C-Dif. I was put on another type of antibiotic but could not break the fever until wednesday night. They finally let me go home on thursday afternoon. I am doing great. You all were right. NO pain. Just sore from all the poking around. I went to walmart last night and walked around for a little bit. From my 8 days pre op diet I lost 13lb. I go tommorow for my post op check up and to get the staples removed. I am excited to see what the scale reads. I have many people telling me I have lost alot. Thank you all for all of your support you have been wonderful. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you after surgery.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
