I'm 3 months out and have lost 48 pounds since surgery. I've lost 185 total counting my pre-op loss.
I'm eating 12 oz. meals for lunch and dinner -- no problem. That bothers me. I'm eating protien, vegetables, yogurt, nuts -- all of the food is on my healthy eating list. Breakfast is a 4 oz. meal. However, lunch and dinner are 12 oz. meals. I get plenty of fluid -- 100+ oz. of water a day. I'm getting my vitamins. I am curious about my idea of satiety. I just ate dinner--beef in spaghetti sauce (6.5 oz), 1.5 oz. of almonds and 4 ounces of Activia Light yogurt. I am not stuffed or uncomfortable, just satisfied. I could go for a walk or do something. The meal is just that, a meal.
In the last two weeks I lost 4 pounds. I work out 5-6 times a week for 40 minutes with my heart rate around 120-130. I'm 62 pounds from my goal weight.
What is your opinion of my meal size at this stage?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I think you need to consider how things are working for you and how much further you need to go.. it doesn't sound like your "over eating" if I tried to match you I don't know that I could (does that make sense)?
Breakfast: protein shake--at least 30 grams of protein
Lunch: 4-5 ounces of lean protein, ideally with a low-fat sauce or dip.
Dinner: Beef, au jus, barbequed, with gravy--whatever. But I find that when I eat beef at night, I lose weight.
I'm sure that you're not drinking with your meals... correct?
I know you've stated before that you eat 3 meals and try not to snack. Maybe you should do a couple snacks. Fruit or a veggie. Maybe you'll feel like you need to eat less at mealtime.
You're losing weight and exercising so that's a plus. I would contact your team and ask them what they think as well.
Personally, anything over 4-5oz at a meal makes me feel too full.
