We are still having hot dry weather and I have to water every night. I have a wonderful yellow sprinkler, the best one I\'ve ever had. Unbeknownst to me, my daughter picked it up and put it on top of my car so that I would see it. (!) So I was driving along and heard a clatter, there in the rear vision mirror I see my sprinkler on the road. Get out of the car and quick as a flash a guy darts out his gate, grabs my sprinkler and heads back up his driveway. All I can think is \"oh no he\'s not getting my yellow sprinkler!\" and this overweight granny dashes after him yelling indignantly \"Excuse me, excuse me!\" He must have heard but didn\'t look back so I chased him down his driveway and yelled \"that\'s my sprinkler! It fell off my car!\" He looked sheepish and handed it over. Fellow gardeners, I\'m sure you understand. NObody messes with a gardener and her favourite sprinkler!

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
My mother dropped her cash at a hot dog stand in the park last summer, and two young people grabbed it and ran off, she got in her car with the hot dog vendor and found them, snatched the money out of the girl's hand, but the guy had stuffed a lot of it into his pockets already, so wouldn't give it back. What shameless rotten people. And my mother is 78 years old. She's got gumption, but she could have had a heart attack!
