I am so happy on Feb. 2 I made it to four months! I am hoping I can stay GF the next 4 months and beyond.
I was just wondering what are your triggers?
Mine are totally emotional. Any stress in my personal life can make me want to run to the casino. I can remember thinking how in the heck do I cope now? To me that has been the hardest thing. I didn't want to replace the gambling with another bad addiction or habit. It has been really hard. There is no * escape* anymore.
It also amazes me how when we are having money issues I think oh I can go to the casino and make more money! Right...we all know how that story ends!
Hope you all have a GF day!

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
I've just today realized I need help if I'm going to kick this. It's only been 7 hours since my last roll of the dice, which I truly hope and pray will be my LAST roll of the dice.
I can do this! I have to!
God bless!
I wish there was a edit button on here!
It's hard to not allow myself to get high for fear of gambling, but I try to pray and let the moment pass.
Good luck to you and don't give up on breaking the addictive cycle of chasing an illusion.

Have you considered going to see your doctor and maybe having your meds for Bipolar checked to help with Highs and lows that 'Yes would be a Trigger. When I was gambling, Every thing was a trigger. When I stopped it was the same. It took me time to lower my triggers mostly having no access to money then I had to find an alternative to fill the VOID.
Be Well Sandra gams5.
